For a complete Death Valley experience, in style, you
don't want to miss The Furnace Creek Inn & Ranch
Resort. Increased public interest in Death Valley during
the early 1920s prompted the Pacific Coast Borax Co.
to begin the construction of this hotel to accommodate
Death Valley visitors. After it originally opened Feb.
1, 1927, renovations continued for nearly a decade until
its completion in 1935.

One of the really fascinating sites to visit in Death
Valley is Scotty's
Castle, nine buildings constructed between 1921
to 1931 at the cost of $2 million dollars.
